Does Flip Side require background checks for employees?

Yes, we have stringent qualifications for all employees. Our staff must pass a background check and drug test prior to employment. They are also SAFESPORT certified, CDC Concussion certified, and go through a full coach training curriculum before working with participants. At least one staff member will be First Aid/CPR trained at all events.

Is Flip Side Mobile Insured?

Yes, our Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.

 

Is the course safe and/or are waivers required?

Participating in any athletic endeavor comes with inherent risks. Our obstacle courses are constructed with safety as a top priority, utilizing high-quality, durable materials. Each truss bay is reinforced with a steel base and vertical trussing, completely encased in thick, protective padding. Additional padding is strategically placed below any hanging elements to enhance safety.​ Our skilled team is dedicated to maintaining a secure environment during your event, focusing on safety and spotting. They manage participant flow onto the course and quickly deal with any unsafe actions.

It is mandatory for all participants to wear proper athletic footwear. Flip-flops, bare feet, etc., are not permitted.

What happens if there is bad weather on the day of the event?

In the event of inclement weather in the forecast, events within 25 miles of our location (213 Grant Pl, Lowell, AR 72745) may be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the event start time. We will work with you to reschedule based on availability. If obstacles are wet (due to rain), they cannot be used. In the case of light rain that stops during an event, Flip Side Ninja Mobile staff will dry the course. No additional time will be added if weather conditions prevent use.

In the case of a multi-day rental, events may be rescheduled or refunded for the additional days the course was not used (minimum of one day will be charged).

We typically move forward with outdoor setups for hot or cold weather but encourage rescheduling or moving indoors for rain, snow, or extreme conditions. Direct sunlight/heat can make many surfaces/obstacles extremely hot.

At their discretion, Flip Side Ninja Mobile staff may cancel an event due to weather conditions at any time during setup or the event if it puts staff or participants at risk. This includes, but is not limited to, excessive rain, lightning, wind, hail, heat, or snow. No refunds will be given if weather changes after arrival. The host is responsible for the entire contracted event cost, regardless of use.

In the event of snow, rain, or thunderstorms during your event, Ninja Mobile staff will shut down the course until it’s safe to use again.

What are dual lanes and/or what is their throughput?

Our course design features two lanes within the truss bay, enabling two participants at a time. This configuration is ideal for different skill levels and age groups. One lane can be less demanding for younger participants, and the other can offer greater challenges for more experienced athletes.

Additionally, we offer the option of racing lanes, which are mirrored setups with identical obstacles on each side, fostering a competitive spirit.

The throughput for most events is 100+ participants per hour. This may vary based on course length and participant age/skill level.

What are the site requirements? How much space do I need?

Outdoor Setup:
A flat, grassy area is preferred, but a solid surface is acceptable (must be free from loose gravel, rocks, etc.). Direct drive-up access is required to avoid extra fees, though hand-carrying equipment up to 100ft is permissible without charge—distances beyond this incur fees. The host must ensure the area is clear of debris, animal waste, and rocks, and may incur cleaning fees. Sprinklers should be off during the event. The host is responsible for securing necessary permits.

Indoor Setup:
For indoor setups with direct external access (vehicle can pull up to access door), we offer hand-carrying of equipment up to 100ft. However, setups lacking direct external access or requiring hand carrying over 100ft will incur additional fees. The host must provide coverings for delicate surfaces. Our truss reaches lengths of 18 feet and may not fit through tight spaces.

What is a truss bay?

A truss bay is the aluminum support structure for our hanging obstacles, similar to those seen on American Ninja Warrior. Each truss bay is 18′ long, 12′ wide, and 12′ tall.

Are there age, height, or weight restrictions?

Our course is for everyone ages 5 and up. There are no height or weight restrictions. Obstacle heights can be adjusted, and the course is built with high-quality materials for everyone to enjoy.

What obstacles are on the course? Can I request certain ones?

We have two types of obstacles: Hanging (from the truss) and ground (balance/agility). Our hanging obstacles range from rope swings, rings, and trapeze bars to more difficult holds like cliffhanger and cannonball grips. Our ground obstacles include angle steps, balance bars, log runs, and more!

While we can’t guarantee a specific obstacle, we will do our best to accommodate requests. Our experienced staff will select age-appropriate obstacles to ensure participants have fun and are challenged.
